We typically import one car a year, prioritizing our search with originality and cleanliness. We seek special models with the help of a friend that has over a decade in the business and feet on the ground in Japan to do quality inspections. I’m attracted to cars that offer practicality and performance. Homologation cars that are also attainable and supportable.

Subaru STI Version (sold)

Unlike later STI models, the STI Version was built from WRX removed from the Subaru production line in Yajima and brought to STI’s Makita plant at a rate of 100 per month. The cars were then built at STI essentially by hand. Interiors were removed, the engines were replaced with hand built closed-deck 2 liter blocks with forged pistons, a newly designed lighter weight valve lash arrangement and even hand polished intake ports on the heads. This could be one of the most special engines in a Subaru production car. Built by hand at STI with good pistons! Even the high-flow twin tip exhaust system was outsourced to Fujitsubo because they didn't have a high flow in-house model. The hood is aluminum, the spoiler, unlike later STI is also formed aluminum. It’s the largest spoiler ever placed on a production Subaru. Walk through video here

Subaru STI Version 3 (sold)

Documented, 1-owner classic in nearly mint condition. The Version 3 is the first semi (half?) facelift classic Impreza. This is a beautiful car, simple and to the point in a timeless white color. The V3 has a stiffer chassis than the 1 and 2 as well as a larger turbo (IHI), revised cylinder heads, and the new-for-96 Ej20K engine. It’s extremely rare to find a low KM car like this in a grade 4 condition and on top of that, with a single owner it’s whole life.
